How can my estate plan reflect my Christian beliefs?
Our firm offers the opportunity for your plan to include documents expressing your Christian faith, aimed at encouraging your family in the period after your death to love one another, be generous, and handle their loss as you would want them to. If you wish greater emphasis placed on your faith, we can help you explore opportunities to expand the impact the proper use of your assets can have on your church and its mission.
How does the process work?
First, you will need to meet with one of our attorneys. We'll ask you to teach us about your family and concerns. Then we'll show you the planning choices you've made and how your goals can be met. We'll discuss our fees and payment schedule because we don't believe this should be a vague or uncomfortable part of working together.
The next time we get together will be a design meeting. We'll lead you through an organized conversation that actually creates the structure of your estate plan. With the information from this meeting, we begin drafting the Trust, Will, Powers of Attorney and other documentation aimed at bringing your plan to life. And we'll show you ways to express your faith.
Lastly, at the signing meeting, we'll show you exactly how the concerns, issues and decisions that came up during the design meeting are dealt with in your planning documents.
What if I'm not ready for a comprehensive approach, but still want a plan?
Our firm offers the Simple Will Service™, a quick, low cost approach to basic planning. We can enhance this approach by offering you several opportunities to express your beliefs and wishes for your church and family.
If you're still not sure, Frisse & Brewster Law Offices offers regular free seminars on estate planning and encourages you to attend one or more of these programs. You can move forward when you're ready.
We congratulate you for making the decision to protect what's important to you. Whatever level of planning you choose to consider, we look forward to assisting you and your family in preparing for your future.
